The following vehicles are most common on an African safari:
- Minibus – This vehicle has a large pop-up roof that is specially designed for viewing and photographing wildlife. Each minibus will accommodate seven people.
- Airplane – You may also ride on a plane during your safari. This will be a small plane that will fly directly to the place you want to explore. You will need to pack a small hand-carried bag for these trips by plane, due to luggage limitations.
- 4x4 All-Terrain Vehicles – An ATV is often required on safari due to rough (or no) roads.
- Animals - On some safaris you travel on animals such as camels or elephants.
