A full-service broker has the primary task of providing financial services to clients; he or she executes buy and sell orders and deals with different varieties of brokerage. Moreover, a full-service broker provides expertise, offers advice, and helps clients achieve their investment goals.
A full-service broker generally charges a higher commission than a discount broker, because discount brokers deal more with just executing buy and sell orders and do not offer advice or recommendations to the investor.
