A woman experiencing menopause can experience a variety of symptoms. Not all women go through menopause the same, and most experience varying degrees of symptoms.The most common symptom is vasomotor instability which includes night sweats, hot flashes, and sleep disturbances. There may also be urogenital symptoms such as dyspareunia, vaginal dryness, itching, bleeding, urinary urgency, urinary frequency and urinary incontinence. Psychologically, women who undergo menopause have occasional mood disturbances and are easily irritated, fatigued, experience memory loss, and have a decrease in libido. Some women incur osteoporosis, while other have constant back, muscle and joint pains. Still other women experience skin thinning, breast atrophy and decreased elasticity.
