Many things can increase a woman's risk of infertility. Most of these are attributed to her overall lifestyle, such as stress, poor diet, being either underweight or overweight, excessive alcohol intake, tobacco smoking, and others. Health problems that cause abnormal hormonal changes and sexually transmitted diseases can also affect the capability of a woman to have a child.
