Yes. Based on medical tests, there is such thing as permanent hair removal. One method, called electrolysis, does not guarantee that hair removal is permanent at all times. Electrolysis is done by inserting a tiny needle into the hair follicle and running a small amount of electric current through the needle to kill the hair root. Some patients find this treatment painful. It can also cause side effects such as blemishes, inflammation, scabs, and drying of skin. All the instruments used in the process are sterilized for every patient.
A second hair removal technique is laser hair removal. This is a newer technique than electrolysis. It takes an average of 3 to 5 treatments for a patient to complete hair removal with this procedure.
