Yes. As a matter of fact, after it was first introduced in 1981, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) reported that there were more than 91,000 births of babies that were facilitated by IVF from 1985 to 1998. At the end of 1999, the number increased by as much as 177,000 babies that have been conceived using all types of medical procedures.
