Is it better to use an Internet florist or find a local florist?

This depends on the size of the order, the occasion, and your personal preference. The internet offers accessibility to a wider variety of florists, floral arrangements, and prices, and you don't usually get charged a consultation fee by an internet florist. On the other hand, you don't see the actual arrangements until they arrive, and you do have to wait for delivery.
On the other hand, local florists can offer you more personalized service, you can go in and see samples of their actual work before ordering, and you can immediately pick from a variety of choices and make your order. If your order is small, like cut flowers wrapped in tissue or a single corsage, you can usually get it filled on the spot. Of course larger orders, as for weddings, still require time to be filled, even if the florist is local.
