There are different types of student loans; hence qualifications may vary. Lending institutions usually require you to fill out a form and and answer qualifying questions. Usually this is done through the financial aid office at your chosen school. Some pre-qualifying information which may be asked on your student loan application is:
- Your college program level
- Status of your enrollment
- Field of Study
- Presence of a Co-borrower
If you are applying for a government-sponsored student loan, there will be many requirements that must be met both by you and by your school, so start the application process early.
