If your home business does not need a partner to help operate it, then you can run it as a sole proprietor. However, there are things you need to consider. First is your business plan. If business expansion is one of your future plans, then you might consider getting a partner later on. Remember that expanding it means more personnel, more supplies, and more clients.
Second is your liability. In a sole proprietorship, all your personal and business assets are at risk. If you think you can run the business properly without any problems with your creditors, suppliers, or customers, then go solo. But if not, consider getting a business partner. It can be someone you trust who has the capability of helping you run your home business.
