The best time to fake a shot is when the point guard of the opposing team is blocking your attempt to shoot. This is done starting with a one-count stop. Act like you are going to shoot the ball. Your guard will be lunging towards you at this moment. Then bend your legs and with all your strength, go to the place where you are going to fake your shot. When the defensive man goes for you, move upward strongly. Bump him to avoid him blocking your shot, using your forearm and shoulder. This will give you a three-point free throw, as the man will be called for fouling you.
