There are so many career choices to choose from in the field of culinary arts. Actually, culinary careers fall in two different categories and each category represents a career which is appropriate to any culinary arts graduate. They are:
- Cooking Career or Chef
1. Executive Chef – the one who checks the preparation and cooking of the food.
2. Sous Chef – they handle the tasks of other chefs in big restaurants and do all the cooking in small diners.
3. Saucier – the one who make the sauces and the dishes with sauces.
4. Garden Manager – the one who makes salads and cold dishes.
5. Pastry Chef – the one who makes the desserts and pastries.
6. Sommelier – the one who designs and manages the wine list.
- Hotel and Resort Management
1. Resident Manager – the one in charge of guests.
2. Front Office Manager – manages the front desk.
3. Executive Housekeeper – manages the cleaning and maintenance of the guests' rooms.
4. Convention Manager – organizes and manages special activities, events and banquets.
