Free throws are given to a player after a foul by the opposing team. Usually two free throws are awarded. When the opposing team player commits a foul when you are trying to shoot the ball on the three-point line, you will be given three free throws. When the opposing team player commits a technical foul, you will be given one free throw. Each basket made on a free throw counts one point.
