Hair loss is common in men. This is called male-patterned baldness or androgenic alopecia. This usually occurs with age. There are several causes of androgenic alopecia, including:
- The genetic composition of a particular individual
- The overproduction of the male hormone testosterone
- Aging
One may experience male androgenic alopecia if these factors are present. This is why baldness is more common in men than in women.
