Dust your paintings regularly so the dust will not build up on antique paintings. Air-pressure cleaners are the best tool in restoring antique paintings. If the antique painting is covered with transparent paint, you can safely wipe it with a damp cloth to remove the dust accumulated.

There are antique restoration services available in many areas. These can be quite expensive but they will restore your antique painting to its former grandeur. You only need to find reputable painting restorers.
