The time you should allot for your workout will depend on the type of lifestyle you want to maintain. If you are just beginning to work out, most experts recommend at least twenty minutes of exercise three times a week. Your twenty-minute workout can be a combination of the following:
- Four 5-minute sessions of exercise routines;
- Two 10-minute workout sessions; or
- One 20-minute continuous exercise routine.
Keep in mind that twenty minutes is considered to be the minimum prescribed time for your workout in one day. As your body starts to adjust to this time duration, you may start increasing the amount of exercise you do so that you continue receiving maximum benefits from your workout.
