Dust mites and other allergens prefer to stay on dirty bedding. According to bedding manufacturers, it is advisable that you wash your bedding, mattress pad, and blankets in hot water weekly or at least every two weeks. Hot water is necessary to kill the germs and unnecessary organisms that might live on them.
