The recommended repetition range you can do in order to build lean muscle for all exercises is from 4 to 6 repetitions for your last, heavy sets. However, keep in mind that this does not include warm-ups or acclimation sets — just your last sets. It will help you stimulate your muscle fibers to handle the additional stress that will be placed upon your muscles.
