Normally, learning to fly is not difficult. However, it does require proper study and training. The U.S. Federal Aviation Regulation Part 61 states that a student pilot must have a minimum 40 hours flying time, 20 hours of them with an instructor and the other 20 hours solo. But it depends on how often you fly.
Of course birds learn to fly in a much shorter time than humans. And without the airplane.
