Pilots navigate the plane by using either VFR (Visual Flight Rules) or IFR (Instrument Flight Rules), which depends on the aircraft they’re flying. As airplanes are now more modernized, most planes are equipped with advanced electronic navigation systems. Pilots depend on radio signals that the plane emits through radio traffic controllers. With a gyroscopic system, pilots can analyze the plane's position with each longitude and latitude from starting point. The GPS or Global Positioning System is now the primary way of electronic navigation.
