For you to make sure that your painting will not fade, you have to spray it with permanent clear or transparent paint. This will lock the paint in and will not allow any impurities to get in and destroy its appearance.
Spraying your painting with transparent paint will also preserve the natural beauty of your painting. It will also be easier for you to clean it.
