Lifting weights can cause two kinds of pain: the good pain and the bad pain. You need to recognize which of these is happening in your body. A good pain feels like a dull ache in the muscle, usually saying that you have worked out well. A bad pain generally means injury. It is usually sharp and happens in one spot of your body.
Incorrect lifting of weights is usually the cause of lower back pain. You should lift heavy weights by bending your knees, keeping a straight back, and lifting the weights by using your lower body strength. This is the proper way to lift weights.
