Do I have to fly a model plane at a modelport?

If you have a wide space nearby with few trees and power lines and you only have a small model remote-controlled plane, you don’t have to fly it at a modelport. However, if you have a bigger model, which requires a bigger space for takeoff and flight, you probably have to go to a modelport to fly your plane.
