Although most volunteer opportunities are advertised on the Internet, "in person" opportunities are still part of the volunteer recruitment process. Online volunteer opportunities are only used to attract more individuals who want to be engaged in volunteer service. After assessing the qualifications and interest of the applicants, volunteer opportunity providers invite prospective volunteers to in-person recruitment sessions to further assess the abilities and interests of those who want to get involved in volunteer service.
