Traveling can be tiring for you and your plants as well, so you need to water them a few hours before you travel. If the trip will be long, you can soak newspaper in water and place it on the plant's soil to keep the soil moisturized. Also wrap fragile pots in newspaper to prevent breakage. Place them securely in the van and cover them with tarpaulins for protection.
