Floating lights have been proven safe for use in swimming pools, because of the sheltered socket. They are also very practical.
There are several floating designs. One of the most popular is the solar-powered light. It can get energy from the sun during the day and switch on at night. When it is fully charged, it will stay lighted for eight full hours. Solar-powered light is basically safe for swimming pools because of its less-dense electricity.
There are also fiber optics lights that are safe for swimming pools. The fiber limits the entrance of the water to the bulb socket. It also gives a soft warm glow to the pool during the night.
