According to police records, nightlights are sometimes the cause of electrical short circuits and have caused fires. Fortunately, there are now nightlights that are made of synthetic fiber and elastic cable to insulate the heat they generate and thus prevent overheating of the light.
Aside from this, there are also nightlights that only consume a small amount of electricity. Most of the nightlights nowadays are in resealable cases to prevent overheating and other types of accidents.
