Hypnosis does not use the same processes as meditation or relaxation. In the process of meditation or relaxation, the goal is to achieve a more relaxed and meditative stage.
What makes hypnosis different is its goal of using the mind to transmit messages throughout the body. Compared to meditation, the hypnotic state of mind is the main goal of hypnosis and it becomes reponds to particular words, thoughts, and ideas.
