Some modern researchers believe that hypnosis can lead to partial sleep. The researchers have observed that hypnosis affects environmental stimuli.
Some fake hypnotists take advantage of their subjects. There are times that the subject typically appears to be asleep because of eye closure; then would be the time for them to play tricks with their victims.
According to some law enforcement agencies, many bogus hypnotists take benefits from their victims by manipulating them under hypnosis. When the victim is hypnotized, it would be possible for a dishonest hypnotist to manipulate the subject into giving him money or something similar.
