What is the difference between an aquarium and an oceanarium?

There is no great difference between an aquarium and an oceanarium except for the size and the species they contain. An oceanarium is basically a large-scale aquarium.
Most the time, oceanariums also hold bigger species of fish, such as sharks, sting rays, and even whales. Aquariums, on the other hand, hold smaller fish.
Another thing about an oceanarium is that it is heterogeneous. This means that an oceanarium can have two or more species in one place, simulating the actual ecological ambience of an ocean.
