If you really want to save money or if your budget is not very large, it is advisable to stay in a vacation rental rather than a hotel. Everybody knows that hotels have flat rates and they only lower their rates during promos. If you cannot wait for the hotel promo, try staying in a vacation rental.
Actually, it all depends on your money and how frugal you are when it comes to spending.
