Yes, there is cellular service in the Bahamas. The local service company is called the Bahamas Telecommunications Company, or BTC. However, some foreign cellular services do not work in the Bahamas, so if you are not already using BTC and want ensure that you have cellular service on your vacation, you should to sign up for a service plan from BTC.
