Unlike many other wild animals, fish do make good pets. The advantages to fish as pets include:
- They can be contained in one place.
- They do not make any audible noise, as do dogs and cats.
- Fish food is less expensive than other pet food.
- Fish do not require extra care for they can survive and take care of their biological needs as long as they are in water.
