Fresh water fish can live in an aquarium provided that the water in your aquarium has a lower salinity level appropriate to fresh-water fish. You should also make sure that the water you use is not contaminated with any type of chemical, such as chlorine, that may harm your fish. As long as you provide the right food and ecological system for the fish, your pets will adapt to it and survive.
