Postpartum depression varies from temporary "blues" following childbirth to serious, unbearable, emotional depression.
Postpartum depression symptoms are the same as those experienced by other depressives, including desperation, feelings of despair, low self-confidence, constant fatigue, and mood changes.
This type of depression can be healed successfully as long as the mother and her support group identify the warning symptoms and examine them with considerate clinical experts. While some depressive feelings might be completely normal after giving birth, constant feelings of unimportance or desperation are not.
The secret to healing is to be honest with what you feel during each postpartum appointment with your physician.
