A good resume is one thing that would absolutely help you get a good job. It should embody your personality and let the potential employer get to know you.
Of course, among the most important things to include is your contact information: name, mailing address, phone number(s) and e-mail address. You should also mention the schools you have attended and list the honors you receivedm if any.
If you have been employed before, list your work experience on your resume. You may also include any special skills that you think may help you get the employer's attention.
While some don't require it, it is still a good idea to include some references in case the employer wants to check on the information you've presented. One of the main objectives of a resume is to impress a potential employer, so better make it a good one.
