There may be a need for you to contact quite a number of recruiters before you end up with a good one. It is important that you find one who matches your personality as well as your professional needs, and who specializes in your field.
Be cautious for the first one you pick may not serve your real purpose of looking for the right job. A good one knows what you deserve and carefully chooses the best job for you; on the other hand, a bad one just tells you options without looking at your preferences. Better know your recruiter well, for it may be too late if you find that you've contacted the wrong person.
