Do children need more calcium than adults?

Actually, most children do not need as much calcium as adults do. At their young age, they still have strong bones and muscles. Most forms of bone disease attack only adults whose bones are weakened.
But this is not saying that children should not have calcium in their diets. They need to make and keep their bones strong in order to prevent osteoporosis and other bone-related diseases from occurring later in their lives.
