Cerebral palsy can surely be prevented. The primary deterrent is to protect your children against brain injuries after birth. Immunizations for pregnant women who are Rh negative can help avert blood incompatibility effects with the baby. A shared transfusion could, as well, prevent incompatibility of blood with the child. If the newborn suffers from jaundice, brain damage can be prevented with the aid of phototherapy.
