People who have vision problems usually have one that eye sees better than the other. When this happens, it creates a blurred stereoscopic image when both eyes are opened. Using binoculars does not correct your vision; it just magnifies what your eyes normally see. You are probably seeing better when one eye is closed because it has a defect.
