6x30 signifies the capacity of a binocular or telescope. 6x is the magnification power. This means that you can see 6 times bigger than the unaided eye can see. 30 is the resolution, which includes brightness. Lenses have the capacity to let or bar light passing through them. When the light is barred, it creates a dimmer scene. That means the lower the number, the lower the resolution.
