If you've made reservations, a reservation confirmation number is usually given to you. When you check in, the clerk at the hotel's front desk will ask for the confirmation number and will verify your reservation.
For those who do not have reservations or walk-in guests, the clerk will get your personal information: your name, address, billing information (credit card), phone number, and other requirements. If there is an available room, your data will be entered.
