DSL availability is limited mainly by remoteness. If you are too far from your DSL service provider, the signal deteriorates and you may end up with a slow internet connection even though you are paying for high speed. An alternative might be wireless DSL.
If you live in a rural area, you should see whether a reliable DSL service provider offers services in your area.
