There are a lot of advantages to broadband DSL that you can benefit from. However, there are also some disadvantages that you should be aware of.
Advantages:
- Faster internet connection than dial up
- Keeps your phone line open even if you're connected to the internet
- Always stays connected once you turn on your computer
- Large file downloads are possible
- Convenience to the user
Disadvantages:
- Easier for malicious software and viruses to enter your computer because it's always online
- Leaving your files open for identity theft and illegal file sharing
- Availability
