Cover stock is the term used when one refers to heavy paper. The weight of a cover stock is typically sixty to one hundred pounds (three to five times heavier than bond paper), making it strong enough for wrapping published material. Cover stock is normally used as covers for catalogs, books and other related publications. It is also used for postcards and business cards.
