Do I need a business license to buy wholesale?

Business licenses are required for persons planning to run their own businesses. One is not required to have a business license to buy wholesale. But if you resell the products you bought, in any form, that is when you will be required to have a business license.
Most wholesale suppliers will, however, require a tax ID (or resell) number. This can easily be obtained through your state if, at very least, you have a DBA (doing business as).
