The cost for getting a trademark is dependent on the actions taken during the process of filing the federal application. A trademark search firm will be of great help in filing your application, although you will incur costs in using their services.
• Cost for reviewing the report about whether a selected trademark appears to be registerable: $320 and limited to one name in one classification.
• Preparation of trademark application with any accompanying drawings: $250. This does not include the trademark filing fee or the attorney’s fee.
• Preparation of responses to overcome rejection of the mark: About $250, plus $5,000 that will be used to gather additional evidence and prepare a response.
