Here are some helpful tips, which you can use to keep your baby busy so you can have a great time teaching your older child.
• Give your baby a reason to be busy. Provide him or her with toys that will definitely catch his or her attention.
• Make a small playground near your home schooling area. In this way, you are giving your child the time to play and forget about you and his or her older sibling for a moment.
• Provide your baby with a small basket of toys, so if your child is fed up using one toy, he or she can quickly switch to another one.
• Give your baby a nap. The best time to home school your older child is during the times your baby is asleep.
• If your baby is tired or in need of your attention, take care of the baby. It will only be upsetting to you and your older child if you let the baby cry.
With these tips, you will have an idea on how to start homeschooling your older child. Remember that every baby is unique. If the above tips do not work out with your baby, do not be afraid to try something else. Home school is a journey.
