Yes, there are scholarships available for athletes. Usually, it is the school that gives this type of scholarship to their varsity players. However, an athlete must not let hisor her grade point average slip below 3.0 to keep the scholarship. The scholarship will covers all the costs of college education. The athlete will also receive allowances or stipends from the school whenever there are sports competitions.
