There is no definite answer to as how much a new roof will cost. Several factors are considered in a roofing estimate, and you should collect three or four estimates before deciding on a contractor.
Some of the factors to consider are:
1) Size and configuration of the roof
2) Materials to be used
3) Location of the home (this is needed to determine which materials would be best for the area's weather)
4) Whether it's a new house or a re-roofing
5) If re-roofing, whether the old roof needs to be removed or just roofed over
6) State taxes and other local charges, if any
7) Type of home
