There are several things to consider in order to get rid of black mold and mildew on your roof. First, what are the possible sources of mold and mildew? As all we know, moisture is the primary growth area for black mold and mildew. Eliminate any moisture present and you will reduce the chances of mold and mildew growing.
Second, if there is already black mold and mildew present in the roof, try using a roof brush and a bleach-water solution. Often this is enough to remove the growth. However, there are black molds that are harder to remove. For these, you should use special mold remover solutions available from places like building supply, feed stores, and hardware stores.
Lastly, keep your roof in good condition by inspecting it regularly to check for mold, mildew, and other problems.
